The event began with a warm welcome from Ms. Desiree Lim-Ong, the Executive Vice President of Linton Inc. and the eldest daughter of the company’s visionary founder, Mr. Lim Ka Thong. Her heartfelt remarks set the tone for the evening, as she expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of Linton’s clients, partners, and employees. She reflected on the company’s humble beginnings and its journey to becoming a trusted leader in the Philippine steel industry.

A Brother’s Tribute

At the event, 94-year-old Mr. Ka Yeck Lam, the only brother of Linton founder Mr. Lim Ka Thong, shared a heartfelt tribute to his late brother and his legacy. Having flown in from Hong Kong, Mr. Ka Lam was accompanied by his nephew, Mr. Joseph Ang, who translated his words. With pride and emotion, Mr. LamKa recalled how his brother, arriving in the Philippines at the age of 14, worked tirelessly to build Linton, guided by their father’s values of caring for family and community.

Mr. Lam Lim Ka Thong also reflected on his brother’s mentorship to him, which shaped his own success in business. Looking ahead, he expressed confidence in the next generation of their family to continue the company’s legacy.

Employee Loyalty Awards

Linton’s strength lies in its people, whose contributions and dedication have shaped the company over decades.

At the event, CEO and leaders honored Loyalty Awardees—employees with 20 to 49 years of service—who embody Linton’s core values. Their commitment has fostered a strong, caring culture that has helped the company thrive through challenges and successes.

As Linton looks to the future, the loyalty of these individuals remains the key to its ongoing success.

Dinner and Trivia Questions

Guests enjoyed a delectable dinner while engaging in a lighthearted trivia game that celebrated the rich history of Linton Inc. The trivia questions, designed to test knowledge of the company’s legacy, sparked camaraderie and friendly competition among the attendees, adding a fun touch to the evening.

The highlight of the evening was the inspiring address by Linton Inc.’s CEO, Mr. Philip Lim. In his speech, Mr. Lim took the audience on a journey through the company’s seven-decade history.

From its humble roots in 1954 to becoming a pillar of progress in the Philippine steel industry, Linton has remained steadfast in its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Mr. Lim introduced a short video that beautifully captured the company’s story—showcasing its growth, milestones, and the vision that continues to guide Linton to this day.

A Toast to Linton’s Future

Raffle Draw and Exciting Prizes

The celebration continued with an exciting raffle, where seven lucky guests were awarded overnight stays with breakfast for two at some of the most prestigious hotels in the country, including Marriott, Hilton, Okura, and Sheraton.

EZY, Linton’s sister company’s TVs and refrigerators were also raffled off to the delight of the attendees. The thrill of the draw added an extra layer of excitement to the evening, as guests awaited their chance to win.

The evening was filled with exceptional music, courtesy of the AMP band, who set the perfect tone for the celebration. DJ Jon Tupaz kept the energy high, ensuring that the dance floor was never empty as guests danced the night away in honor of Linton’s remarkable journey.
